A Cautionary Tale: Discriminatory Lending against Hispanic Farmers and Ranchers in Southern Colorado
Unequal access to credit has fostered deep inequalities between Anglos and Hispanics in rural America, which, in turn, has reinforced ethnic tension between these two groups.
This article analyzes the impact of return migration to Mexico on violence at the municipal level. We find, all else equal, that higher levels of return migration equate to decreases in violence in future years.
